Reagan's Vertiz captures silver medal in 5A boys. Boerne Champion's boys couldn't have picked a better time to turn in their top performance of the season than the UIL State Cross Country Meet. Because of the quality showing, the Chargers won their third Class 4A title in four years by dethroning defending champion Cedar Park on Saturday at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. In 5A boys, Reagan senior Daniel Vertiz came up short of a gold medal.
