The SMU Women’s Cross Country team came out of Waco, Texas with a fourth straight second place finish to open their season. Junior Holly Archer earned an individual fifth place with a final time of 14:05.5. A group of freshman solidified SMU’s spot with Cassidy Webber finishing ninth at 14:22.2, freshman Anneke Grogan coming in 15th with a 14:36.0 finishing time, Rakel Barrientos finishing 20th with a time of 14:48.9 and Robin Montemayor ending up 36th at 15:18.0. Junior Justine Anthony and sophomore Rebekah Bosler came in 23rd and 24th respectively finishing just 3.1 seconds apart with Anthony at 14:59.2 and Bosler at 15:02.3.
