Twelve Wayland Baptist teams and 33 WBU student-athletes were announced today as NAIA Daktronics Scholar Teams and NAIA Scholar-Athletes for the 2021-22 academic year.

Nineteen Wayland Baptist student-athletes in soccer and cross country have been named Sooner Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes for the 2021-22 academic year.

Sixty-two fall sport Wayland Baptist student-athletes were named Academic All-Sooner Athletic Conference.

Wayland Baptist led the Sooner Athletic Conference with 12 scholar team honors, a conference-best GPA in four sports and the highest GPA of any conference team: 3.88 posted by the Pioneers' women's golf team.

A total of 118 Wayland Baptist student-athletes were named to the Sooner Athletic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for 2021-22.

Tracksters Reggie Mouton and Raheema Westfall and Flying Queen Kaylee Edgemon were presented the Roscoe Snyder Award as Wayland Baptist University's top senior athletes for 2021-22 when winter and spring sports awards were handed out Sunday evening.
