WINDCREST, TEXAS (Nov. 6, 2015) – For the second time in Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) history, the women's cross-country team has captured the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Women's Cross-Country Championships. The last time the Saints won the title was in 2013.

The meet took place this morning and was sponsored by Drury Inn, the Windcrest Golf Club and the City of Windcrest.

Head Coach Stephen Sherman said, "Sometimes words are pretty inadequate in expressing how exactly one feels about something and our performance today is that kind of moment for me. Us winning a double championship is something that our men, women, Coach Smith, and I have been working toward for the past 364 days. We were all left with a sour taste from last year's conference meet and no one wanted that again. I am extremely proud of the way our women handled their business today. To win on our terms and on our course is something that the whole OLLU community can be proud of. We'll celebrate the win for the next day or two and then we'll turn our focus to goal number two, which is to make some noise at the NAIA meet in Charlotte in two weeks."
