UT Tyler women's cross country senior Carly Kitts took first-place at the 2014 Braveheart Invitational, leading the Patriots to the first-place team finish in the 11 team event.
UT Tyler cross country student-athletes Matthew Markert and Brittany Brunson have each been named the American Southwest Conference Cross Country Runners of the Week the league office announced Monday.
The UT Tyler men's and women's cross country teams dominated the 2014 season-opener, both picking up first-place finishes in the King Campbell Spectacular meet. Matthew Markert and Brittany Brunson took the top-spots in their races.
